Unfortunately for me the backdoor was correct. Unsuccessful. My unit went from 6 points to draw last year to 9-10 points this year.  :bash:

Good luck to those that drew.
They have the draw summary posted too?

This should get you to see the drawing odds:

Darn. Thought I had a shoe-in type 4 tag as a second choice, but didn't draw. Looks like way fewer tags for my unit this year, and no tags were left for the second round even though they always had been in the past. Bummer.

Some licenses may be left over after the resident draw is complete. Non-residents only get a portion of the available licenses. If residents draw fewer than the remaining quota there could be leftovers available.

It's official now.  I'm a loser.  :'(

Just wait for the WA draw, you will have plenty of company.

It unfortunately looks like the point creep in WY is in full gear.  I was hoping last year was an anomaly.  A draw I put in for went from 30% odds to 15% in one year.  I'm guessing it is single digits this year.  Basically, it went from every three years to every 10+ year draw.

It could be that more and more hunters are leaving Washington and going to Wyoming to hunt...

Points creep is happening in nearly all the western states. An elk hunt in Oregon that used to take 5 points to draw is now up to 11. To some extent, it's like chasing a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Been watching it since 2010.  Hunter #'s have increased significantly.

I'm not too worried about it. I'll be hunting Wyoming this year anyway, possibly two separate times.    8)

be glad you didn't draw!  Winter kill has been disastrous to say the least!  this year and probably next will be good years to buy points as the herds try to recover from a record setting winter in most of Wyoming.  Eastman's say that anyone with over 5 points is wasting their tag this year with so many animals dead.

I was more than willing to take the chance.  Disappointed I didn't draw.  Hope the draw doesn't get more saturated in a couple years.
