.380 questions/help

Not sure where to post...Mods move as needed of course. I have a few questions on .380's.Besides the "don't buy one" crowd. What are your suggestions on a new .380. I have done research but appreciate the real world experiences of the "Fugers" . I want the green laser, that I know. Beyond that.
1. Which .380 do you recommend and why
2. Does it make more sense to add an aftermarket laser
3. Where would you buy one

I have one in the ruger lcp and its a nice little gun. Mine does not have the laser and I have a friend that has the smith and Wesson in the 380 and it does have the laser.. I think if I did it all over again I would opt for the laser...

I also have a little lcp. Easy to carry, super light, low profile.....and would I want to be on the receiving end of current ammo options for that little round...nope!

   The 380 guns and ammo are so much better these days. But you must remember your limitations on that caliber. Plus, James Bond carried a 380.

Yeah, but the ppks sucks to shoot, at least in my hand. I liked shooting a mini 1911 style Llama much better, way more accurate as well.

My daily is either a S&W 38 spl or a Glock 42 in 380 depending on what mood I'm in.  The 380 is nice and light.  Own a ton of autos but found that I was usually uncomfortable with the larger guns and would end up just leaving them at home.  With the smaller guns its so easy to just drop in your pocket and go.  If I am wearing a jacket I will sometimes still carry my Glock 36 in a shoulder holster.

I used to own a lcp . Now I have a beretta Pico and I love it . So much nicer . Nicer sights , better magazine release , nice inox finish . Got it for under 300 from sportsmans warehouse .

I had a diamondback DB380 for a bit.  I liked it a lot, but traded it off for a smith .38 j-frame because that's what i really wanted all along.  Some have had problems with stove piping on the DB, but it seemed maybe limp wristing or poor ammo was the cause?  I never had an issue, though I primarily ran critical defense through it.  I would buy another, and am thinking about it, because I can't wear my .38 at work.  I carry a .22 NAA sidewinder everywhere I go and would like the option of an auto as easily concealable as the DB.  I DO like the look of those new Taurus shown above.  Lots of color options.  I like options. Not sure I like Taurus, though these are built in the US, so maybe they'll be better?

I just purchased a Glock 42. It's a bit heavier than the LCP but more pleasant to shoot.

I run an LCP stainless w/o a laser & if I had to do it all over again I would go this exact same way.  It's a great little gun and light as heck, really not much bigger than my wallet.  This is what I carry when I realistically can't carry anything larger for occasions like being outside in shorts at the lake kinda thing when a proper belt wont really work, I just drop it in a cargo pocket.  I like the stainless for those few times when I have had to move one of my sons into the water  so I opted for no laser since I would be replacing it.  I'm not saying I make it a habit of going swimming with it in my pocket but there has been on occasion an "unintentional water entry" 

I really like mine.  Like has been said they aren't that much fun to practice with but practice with it you should.  I think CDNN has them for like $269.

I just purchased a Glock 42. It's a bit heavier than the LCP but more pleasant to shoot.

Great gun. I have on as my every day gun. I added the extension on the magazine to get an extra round. Fully loaded it weighs 16.2 oz. Way down from my previous 9mm at 35 oz.

Like above for the .380 a Sig 238 is a nice and easy one to carry all day in the waist band or under the belt depending on what your wearing! Very dependable and accurate for in close protection! The only drawback is the higher cost of .380 ammo!!!

Those are broad questions.
1. Get the one you like.
2. Get it if you want it.
3. Go to a store you like or where you can get the best deal.

My every day carry is two bonds in shoulder rig.


But my back up everyday is the lcp  frist addition. In the cargo pocket.
Easy carry every day.
