The wife and I are heading to Prince of Wales Island early June for a DIY spring hunt with her dad.

Come August, we'll hunt them in our normal haunts on the East side.

Well me and the da stump both got our Spring bear special apps in today, nothing like waiting until the last minute.  :chuckle: I have two points so I don't expect much but there is still a chance.

I'm 27 and my dad still spoils the crap out of me, he asked me if I was going to buy all my stuff in time to put my app in for spring bear and I told him I couldn't afford it this month. So he goes and buys all my licences for me. Then tells me don't worry about it keep saving for your MT antelope hunt.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I've got an Oregon spring bear permit that starts here in two weeks.  My wife has one too.  So, I plan on getting 2 spring bears in Oregon.  Then I will probably kill one in August.
