Wolf population passes milestone; DeFazio revives plan to ban poison trap

Gray wolves continue to expand in territory and numbers in Eastern Oregon, setting the stage for potentially greater conflict with ranchers and livestock owners as the state updates its master plan for managing the still vulnerable animals.
This week, fish and wildlife officials said the wolf population passed a significant milestone. Biologists counted at least seven or more breeding pairs in a broad swath of Eastern Oregon for the third consecutive year.

Oregon will most likely be selling wolf tags before Washington, I'd bet money on that.

Seattle (the voting base of WA) is a special kind of liberal, ranked the #3 most liberal city in US, even more liberal than Los Angeles, only Oakland and San Francisco are ranked more liberal than Seattle.

This comes as no surprise, though. We knew it was going this way back when they were having the hearings for the plan.
