Wdfw new system
« on: February 26, 2017, 03:25:36 PM »
Is it just me or is everyone having a problem with this new system?  What a joke.  Don't we live in one of the biggest tech states in the country?  Can our Web designer look at Utah's page and design or something like that.

I thought it was just me as well until I went to town and had then try and do it and listen to them complain about it as well.  Another thing, you buy a multi season app. Then have to go back in the system to apply?  Wtf?

There's no need to apply for multi season, just buy the application and you're automatically entered. That is unless you want to apply with a partner, then you do need to go in and submit your application. But it's always been that way, where you have to purchase the application and then log in again to submit it.

So far the new system is working well for me.

The system isn't fully functuonal yet but I haven't had any issues. I've purchased licenses, special permit applications, and submitted one without problem

No issues here but why do you still get charged a dealer fee through the game department website???

System kept crashing at home so I had to go to town to get it done.  Their system crashed twice as well.  They did not have kind words for the new site.   Pretty disappointing     Also was just shy of 300 bucks for me and two kiddos

They can't have no fee if you buy online, and then a fee if you go to a license dealer to make your purchase, because in that case a lot more people would do it online, and the license dealers wouldn't make as much money.

I've also had a few problems with it, hate it for now but I'm sure I'll get it down and the bugs hopefully will get fixed.

Hence " dealer fee " which would be a dealer or a store! Probably more wolf or grizzly fund money

What, they told me i can't buy any special permits till April, I bought my combo and have to buy any special permits later. The dealer called someone within the dept to confirm this.

I like the new system.  Took me five minutes to buy a bear tag, spring bear app, and submit it :twocents:

I guess it would be more accurate to say I bought a bear "license" as the tag is then free..

Figure out the problem.  Couldn't load info on iPad. The site is a big upgrade from the old one for sure.  Still don't understand why you have to buy a multi season app and then submit it.  Kinda redundant?  Still have to say other then that it's way better!

You don't have to submit it unless you want to apply as a group or apply for points only.

I just logged onto the new site and I'm not seeing where to put in for special hunts. Does anyone know when that will be available?

The only special permit you could apply for now is Multi-Season. The rest of the special permits won't be available until the regulations come out in April or May.

I received both bear and cougar tags. I also got a license "privilege" receipt which kind of irks me.

I haven't gotten any of my tags in the mail yet and bought everything a few weeks ago. I should probably call and find out what the deal is

I thought it was a big step in the right direction for the licensing system.  Been working great for me now that up and running.  I like that your points are right there to reference.

 :yeah:

I think it is pretty sweet, easy to check points, price licenses and whatever else I have needed to do.

Yes, I use initials with the same password which makes it easy to keep everything straight.
