Grizzly Bear Reintroduction - North Cascades National Park

The National Park Service and WDFW are currently looking at options to reintroduce grizzly bears into North Cascades National Park. The draft version of the Restoration Plan/Environmental Impact Statement can be found at the link below. The public comment period for this draft ends March 17, 2017. Please make your voices heard on this issue. If you do not support reintroducing grizzlies please voice your support for Alternative A (No Action).

Not just the greenies!! Steve Rinella would like to see them in the cascades too. Check out his latest podcast with a bear biologist. Pretty interesting stuff.

Alternative A is no action.
Alternative B would be the go slow approach and study the "success" of the program which would introduce two groups of one mail and four females in two locations.
Alternative C is a more aggressive enhancement program with more bears.
Bears are likely to come from Montana's Glacier National Park and maybe some from  British Columbia.
Plant locations are in the North Cascade National Park and Pasyaten Wilderness (east of Ross Lake).

I'm not against grizzlies but we still need to recover from this wolf fiasco before there should be talk of another predator project. At least they're a native species.

And since they like to release non-native predators might as well go pick up a bunch of kodiak from Alaska and dump them in the areas you've stated.

Non native there are a few grizzly in washington believe it or not already

I believe that's in reference of the Canadian gray wolf.
