Not sue the best way to share this but if you search Glenn and Rons Canada Moose Hunt you will find Rons write up. He is still charging about the same price.

How many legal moose did you see on your hunt?

I seen two shooters in three days. There was another bull that winded us before we could see him. And another one that I did not see on our way to the trucks. I did ask them while I was hunting how many bulls do you see in a 10 hunt. He said we could see 15 in three days or we could hunt ten days to see one bull. Like anything it depends on luck, weather, and the rut.

You were definitely in the right place at right time for your bull

I did a DIY hunt in Alaska in 2014 and 2016. Killed a bull both times. Before I went the first time I spent a couple years planning it and saving money. The second time was easier.

I think the DIY drop moose hunts would be the adventure of a life time. With limited time off work I chose to do the Yukon option. There are some great outfitters in the Yukon. You can't go wrong where there are 60,000 moose and only 30,000 residents. In Canada, of course, the cost goes up exponentially. Not sure if I'll ever be able to pull off another northern moose hunt but I sure hope to some day!

I asked the same question a few days ago on this forum (moose and caribou). The Alaska Drop Camp guy responded very quickly. Seems like a good outfit. I'm also looking at a few Canada options as it's closer. Note the increase in Alaska non-resident costs for this year. Most tags doubled in cost. Moose and Elk jumped from $400 to $800 each. Deer from $200-$400. General license doubled as well. So the cost gap with Canada is slightly less now.
