Camper Repairs
« on: February 28, 2017, 11:41:31 AM »
Can anyone recommend anyone or place reputable that repairs campers. We have a 2000 Artic Fox that needs a reseal, bumper, service doors replacement and rear floor replacement. For it's age it's in pretty good condition, everything works on it and the interior is in excellent shape. We feel it's worth repairing these issues especially when a new Artic Fox of the same size and caliber is $45,000  :yike: (ridiculous) we won't be going there anytime soon. Any recommendations would be great.

I'd at least get an estimate from Arlington RV & Welding. I bought some lights and camper tie downs from them and they were good to work with, I can't say good or bad about their service other than they were pretty busy when I was there...

Yeah, I've dealt with them before many times in the past. They've always been pretty good to us, but the past couple of years they just don't have the time or the staff to help anyone. 8 months ago, on 2 different occasions, I was trying to buy some product from them. I waited for about 15-20 minutes to pay for them. They didn't even have a person to take my money, haven't been back since.

Oh, that sucks, the only other places I know of are Mt. Vernon or south Everett. There's a place on Hwy 9 just south of Snohomish that has campers, not sure if they have a service dept. though. (Not much help, am I?)

Al's RV in Bellingham isn't too bad.  They are busy, due to limited shop space, but fair and reasonable in all the transactions I've had.
They seam to do quality work and have knowledgeable staff on hand for any questions.

Jr's RV Repair & Rebuild located in Sedro-Wooley.  I had some wind damage repair done there a few years back.  I suspect there may be some lead time so I would plan accordingly no matter who you choose.

Thanks everyone. We got ahold of a friend that used to work at Arlington RV. He said he'll take on the job for us  :)

I would be interested in hearing about that reseal, how much it cost and how long it took....

I'll let you know about the time but the cost isn't going to be broken down like a regular rv shop since this guy is just doing this on the side.
