Reloading set up is completed, need some guidence
« on: March 01, 2017, 08:51:13 PM »
I have my reloading set up all together, looking for a little guidence to get started. I have every thing set up, bullets, clean brass, powder. Just don't want to screw up. Located in the Arlington area, any one available on this coming Saturday afternoon or any time on Sunday.

You can use my equipment to load your ammo if you don't have your own.

The dies come with pretty complete instructions, set up your resizer die like it says to otherwise you will have headspace issues. When you go to resize, keep lube off the shoulder. Only the body and neck should be lubed. Otherwise you may ruin your shoulders with dents.  I've had RCBS dies where the expander ball was very loose which might result in bent decapping unit if not fixed before use.

Whatever your scale setup, be consistent with it. Tiny changes can make a big difference especially if you are using a mechanical scale. Those changes can result in inaccurate variables and worse.

when you go to seat, don't rush it. Take your time to get your die set where you want it and don't forget to tighten the set screws or all that work was for nothing.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Your right, your never done picking stuff up when it comes t the gun hobby. I'll never recoup what I have spent on this phase of the gun hobby, But it will be relaxing reloading my own ammunition and I'll get to shoot a lot more and with better ammunition then can be bought, tuned to each individual gun.

H20Hunter will be coming down this sunday. If the weather is nice I might get out and shoot some fresh reloads.

I have a variety of reloading dies, mostly used so they didn't come with any paper work.
I bought a new set of 9mm Hornady dies that has the paper work and I get a 100 free bullets that I had to send a rebate form in to get them with a shipping charge of $6.95

If you need the instructions for dies and such check the manufacturers website,  RCBS has them online. I am sure others do too.
