New rifle
« on: March 03, 2017, 07:19:18 PM »
Looking at purchasing a quality hunting rifle this spring in 270 win.
Torn between the Kimber Montana vs the Sako Finnlight 85.
Thoughts?

Tough choice.  Finnlite as I don't prefer the kimber safety.

Lot's of great options out there but of your 2 choices Sako all the way. My Sako 85 is the best rifle I have ever owned. Feel, fit, trigger, accuracy can't be beat.

I have a deluxe finnbear as well. My grandpa got it for my father and gave it tom him at 18. Then my dad passed it to me when I turned 18. It's in 300 wm but I need to re-barrel it.

I sure like mine.
My dad bought the 7mm new in 1972.
He gave it to me and I eventually found an identical one in .338, also like it.. The 7mm has such sentimental value that I will probably pass it to my boy.
Dependable, accurate and trustworthy.
Also classy.
