Tell me what this is

Saw this today in a deer bed, i figured it was a domestic dog but it was a little over 4 inches accross, i know there is some cats around but i am not very good at tracks

Pretty sure that is a Cougar track.  Could have slid a little in the mud.  When I first looked at it and saw the slide I thought rear foot of a small Bear.  I stared at it for a while and I can see where the pad outline is now.

This is what I see in this track.

If it was a domestic dog you would very easily be able to see a claw mark in front of each toe.  I can't see that but I think the picture is to angled for me to see those any way.
