Man, the fallout from the permit system change and magic points replication in all categories in 2010 keeps coming. I know of at least one guy with 11 over 65 points - and he's in his 50's.  That means a guy turning 65 today would be 76 before he catches up to that whippersnapper.

Such a poorly thought out implementation of a poorly thought out plan.

Rant over.
Completely agree. I drew a elk permit in 2008 so I had 1 point dispersed in all the stupid category's. I would have gladly ghost pointed or returned my 2008 permit to benefit more on the point scattering.

Yup, I drew deer in 2009, so ZERO points across the board.  Still irks me.

 :yeah:

I drew a crappy antlerless deer permit in 2009 so zero points in all deer categories for me.  I would have taken the points only option if I knew.

If you look at the Last Updated date it shows back in December (at least mine does).  So the points are reflecting from before Spring Bear Apps were bought/submitted.

The point totals displayed are based on the end of the prior season. You will have two points in this year's drawing which means four names in the hat.

There are how many different categories, about 47? How can you possibly remember the number of points you have in all those categories?

It’s important enough for me to want to know the totals when applying, but not important enough for me to memorize all 20+ of them. :twocents:

I know how many moose points I have, that's the only one I never forget (20.)

I think that one will be going back to zero in a couple months.    8)

What a damn mess, it shows me with 1 bear point but I know it's 2 or 3, and now I have points in almost every category.  65 and older, disabled and even master hunter points?  I'm non of those!

That has nothing to do with the new system. The points in the other categories have been there since 2010.
