What a damn mess, it shows me with 1 bear point but I know it's 2 or 3, and now I have points in almost every category.  65 and older, disabled and even master hunter points?  I'm non of those!
That has nothing to do with the new system. The points in the other categories have been there since 2010.

Thanks, I don't understand but thanks.

Prior to 2010 there were not multiple categories for species such as deer and elk. You had  a certain number of points for deer, and a certain number of points for elk (and moose, goat, sheep). In 2010 the system was changed to allow hunters to submit permit applications in multiple categories. For deer there were categories added for Quality Deer, Buck Deer, Antlerless Deer, Deer for Hunters with Disabilities, Youth Deer, Master Hunter Deer, Second Deer, 65 and Older Deer, and maybe a few others. If you had ten points for deer going into the 2010 season, they gave you ten points in all the deer categories even if you weren't eligible.

ok, so the points from now on won't increase, only when I start buying those permit apps?

That's right. You will have all the points you have now until you either (a) apply in one the categories and get drawn which resets your points in that category to 0, or (b) you apply in a category and don't get drawn which will increase your point total for that category by one.

You've got two bear points! 😂

We should have a contest to see who has the most points and what the total is...I'm guessing somewhere around 300 would win it??

The whole point distribution discussion  brings back memories of my anger toward Dave Ware and the commission for approving the thing. >:(
He's a real no ware man
Sitting in his no ware land
Making all his no ware plans for nobody
Didn't he retire.......... twice?
