Would ya eat it?
« on: March 09, 2017, 07:39:27 PM »
Still good? Been frozen as far as I know since I got it in December 2015... Freezer got left open once or twice, never lost power, always stayed....Solid....

Not a turkey fan so...... Yeah

But... Don't wanna throw it away if it's salvageable...

Not too excited cuz it's... Commercially raised turkey....

Never cooked it cuz I live alone

Toss it in the oven, or off a dock?

Deep freeze or frost free? Deep freeze, no problemo, frost freee it better be wrapped extremely well or it is crab bait.

When you thaw it, you'll know.  Probably going to be better crab bait than sammich meat, imho.

Worst case it's horribly freezer burned and you use it for crab bait or find someone that feeds their dogs raw food and give it to them.

I'd be tempted to thaw and cook it if the freezer burn isn't too bad.  You could always use whatever you don't eat that night for some combination of sandwiches, shredding it for tacos/enchiladas/burros, soups, etc.  You can refreeze the meat after you cook it.

It's only just over two years old and it appears to be sealed in plastic.  If it has been in a deep freeze and it is kept turned down it will probably be fine.  If it has been in a frost free it is crab bait, dog food or garbage.

I wouldn't waste it. It's only two years old and it's been frozen. Cook it up, use it for sandwiches, casseroles, whatever. It's not going to hurt you.

For $62 I wouldn't chance it, use it for crabs or give it to some one the will.

Look at it this way $62 over two years is only a about a $2.75 loss a month
