Black Eagle Arrows
« on: March 10, 2017, 03:33:28 PM »
Anyone else out there shooting these arrows? Just picked up a half dozen of from Doug at Great Northwest Archery in Puyallup. Just wondering what others thoughts on them are, or if you have hunted with them?

Accurate arrows, a little more delicate than others. The carnivores have a reputation for being fairly fragile.

Good arrow. In a nutshell my experience with them is they offer excellent tolerance for the money, but if your into shooting rocks theres tougher arrows. The pierce flesh and bone admirably.

Been eyeing them up so I can get a slightly lighter arrow with a higher foc than I am currently shooting.  With their components it should come out to what I was looking for just about perfectly.  Have heard a few comments about durability with my research.

I don't think I will be shooting rocks, not many arrows from any brand I have seen are durable when shooting them. I bought there micro shafts they look stout, so we will see how they hold up. The price point seems more economical than what Eastons are and it doesn't have the hidden insert. They Shoot good so far.

Ordered a dozen Black Eagle shafts last week to fletch/try out (Rampage 340s).  Reviews are really good for these arrows and well, the color scheme matches my new Darton Maverick II really nicely (Typhoon Kryptek w/red Darton logos).  I know, I'm easily dazzled by shiny things  8).  This is on the tail of ordering/fletching a dozen of the Victory Archery RIP shafts which I like just fine but I'm getting some higher poundage limbs for the Darton which will necessitate some heavier spined arrows.  I have an arrow ordering problem lately

I blew through one of my targets and hit a dang rock dead on and I thought the arrow was toast but just flattened the field point prob 1/8" or more and the arrow was fine..  was pretty dang impressed..

I shot the Black Eagle Rampages last year, felt like the nock end was a bit more prone to splitting than other arrows I've shot.  I just picked up 6 of their Deep Impact to try them out.

best arrow on the market. Shoot the rampage for hunting in .001" straightness. So far my group has taken two deer and an elk with them at short and long yardage with great success.

Black eagle is all I shoot. Rampage 340s. The brass inserts add foc.
