3" Vanes
« on: March 13, 2017, 12:48:16 PM »
I'm running low on vanes and for whatever reason I've talked myself into trying 2.5-3" low profile vanes. Any of you guys care to talk me out of trying them or a suggestion on ones to try? I do 4 fletch my arrows if that helps narrow things down for any of you.

Probably not exactly what your looking for but i switched over to the AAE max stealth vanes back in January and i haven't noticed any difference in flight performance but they are supposed to be a little quieter and they shoot fine in my opinion.

I think they are 2.7" long and are .5" tall

My preference is 4" so I can see them.  I think you'd be fine either way.

I have used the Flex Fletch SK300 Vanes these are a 3" vane, the Flex Fletch 360 Vanes these are almost 4" and I have been shooting the AAE Stealth Hunter Vanes these are almost 3" for the past two years with no issues.  I have used the Stealth Hunter Vanes on several different arrows, with several different Broadheads and out of serveral different bows  and they have worked great for me.

If you want to try some let me know and I will send you a few to try, I just received 100 Stealth Hunter Vanes the other day.
