Canned 'Possum
« on: March 14, 2017, 10:32:34 PM »
Caught this 'possum in the trap pictured today. Dead as a nat. it had stuffed itself in so tight trying to get the bait I don't think it could breath. Just like canned ham.

Those things are so tasty! I'm not sure I'll be whacking any in the future tho. They eat ticks and are immune from limes disease.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Forty years ago I don't recall ever seeing a live or dead possum in Washington state. Now especially after heavy rains their dead carcasses are littering the roads. What's with that? When I was a kid growing up on the east coast there were no coyotes or turkeys. Now they are overrunning the place. Will the armadillos be next to appear in Washington state?

Here is a tip for those that like to venture into the wilds and worry about getting lost. Carry a 'possum with you. If you get lost set it on the ground and follow it. It will head to the nearest road. :chuckle:
