I've ran em in the past. The ride is more firm for sure, to the point that some people don't like them. I never was able to detect shock fade, even pounding 100's of miles on Forest service roads. They handled towing and weight great, I don't care for the chrome coloring, easily discolored and rusted on the 2 sets ive had, if I run them again I'll probably paint them before I install them.
Compared to high end Monroe's, they are a tad stiffer, and the Monroe's eventually faded on Forest service roads, but after a ton of driving, still, these didn't.
Compared to rancho 5000 series... Well there's no comparison to be had.
Compared to my current dirt logics, they are way way stiffer, and don't do as well with rebound control.
My next shocks to try will be either rancho 9000 series adjustable, another set of dirt logics, or these again. Haven't made my mind up yet.
Oh they last forever, and have a great warranty as well!
Edit: all testing done I. A f250 superduty. Have also run them on a Tacoma, same impression though

I've had 5100s on quite a few toyotas with these as well as installed them in numerous tacomas/4runners/tundra and never had any issue. Good feel with stock springs or medium duty stuff and never had any issues or complaints from customers and friends or myself. They're a step above factory installed 4600s. For the price I think they are above good shock for a daily driver/weekend trail rig.
Though this is from a toyota size vehicle/application perspective. BTW Amazon almost always has the best price on bilsteins especially if you have a prime account with free 2 day shipping.

They came stock on my Dodge Power Wagon and the ride is fine. I have 90,000mi on the truck and probably over half of the miles are on nasty dirt roads, still working great!!!

Put em on our 03' Cummins truck and they have been great. About 50-60 thousand on em. Mainly pavement pounder with logging roads pretty minimal.

I put rancho 9000 on the front of my f 350 last year. Improvement over the Schwab heavy duty shock but, it rides stiff anyway so I can tell all that much difference.

Thanks everyone, I was pretty sold on them before I posted the thread, so now I'm going to get them.

I've had them on my Tacoma for about 60k.
A million times better than the 4600 that Toyota calls their TRD suspension.
Pairs well with OME springs, as long as you don't lift more than an inch.
Good compression and rebound.
I have a leak in one of the rears and Bilstein 'Lifetime warranty' doesn't mean what I thought it meant.

Go for it, you will like them. Especially on a heavy pickup. I have had them on my dodge diesel for the last 50,000 and they are great.
