Scouting pics from yesterday
« on: October 09, 2007, 09:12:49 AM »
Went and checked a few local spots around Sunnyside last night.  hadn't been there in a few weeks and the amount of water is getting better.  Lots of rain in the mountains is really helping.  Last time I walked through the area I kicked up less than 25 birds.  Not like that this time....

hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

not Giffen but close! ;)

I've seen some serious swarms there in the evening after shooting hours, but have yet to have a good duck shoot there.  I didmanage to quadruple on big honks there twice last year!!! Both times I actually went for the scotch double on the first shot and cleaned up on the 2nd and 3rd.  I don't advise doing that if you are really far from the truck and have to carry a couple dozen dekes and 4 greaters.

That really gets the trigger finger to twitch'in. I think the two longest days of the year are those right before the duck opener. I can' t be sitting here thinking about work when it gets this close. HAHA :chuckle:
