Scouting pics from yesterday

Went and checked a few local spots around Sunnyside last night. hadn't been there in a few weeks and the amount of water is getting better. Lots of rain in the mountains is really helping. Last time I walked through the area I kicked up less than 25 birds. Not like that this time....

not Giffen but close!
I've seen some serious swarms there in the evening after shooting hours, but have yet to have a good duck shoot there. I didmanage to quadruple on big honks there twice last year!!! Both times I actually went for the scotch double on the first shot and cleaned up on the 2nd and 3rd. I don't advise doing that if you are really far from the truck and have to carry a couple dozen dekes and 4 greaters.

That really gets the trigger finger to twitch'in. I think the two longest days of the year are those right before the duck opener. I can' t be sitting here thinking about work when it gets this close. HAHA
