Just wondering if any of you that do your own taxidermy or any taxidermist that are on this site pressure wash you hides before you salt instead of fleshing with a draw knife or wheel. I'd be willing to try and do a little write up on how its done or even show you how its done if anyone is interested. Its so much easier , and you turn out a nicer looking product for the tannery or yourself. Anyway let me know if your interested. I'm only 20 minutes or so from Olympia if you want see how its done in person.
Sorry I havent gotten back . Been buisy the past couple days Ive got some capes (stock) in the freezaer that I need to get done so I can show anyone that wants to see it done. Its better if you see it done than just pictures , plus I cant take pictures while Im pressure washing anyway And yes , rain gear is a must . I can do deer capes without getting wet but bigger stuff is pretty brutal If I can get a "photographer " lined up one of these days I will do a tutorial.
