Early season fleece
« on: March 23, 2017, 08:55:18 AM »
I'm trying to find good options for early season fleece(archery) west side. I like the asat pattern and some of the predator stuff, but honestly of I found some Good fleece gear I would go with any decent pattern. I know it can be hot in the early season, so it needs to be as thin as possible, but not the micro fleece products (I have enough of them), they just aren't as quite when brushing against limbs and foliage. Really I'm looking for quite breathable, early season close that dries quickly. I'm not aware of anything that works better than fleece. I have a lot of Merino wool shirts, they are great, but the care is a little limited. Wt

Day one camo has asat fleece. Big Bill brand has fleece shirts and pants.

I just bought some woodland camo fleece at the fabric store and made my own shirts and pants. I'll only hunt in fleece or wool any more. All the high end clothes say they're super silent, but then you hunt next to someone with some on and they're noisy as heck compared to fleece sweats.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Thanks Todd I'll check them out. Bingo on the high end quiet stuff.  It has a place, but at best it's "not loud". But where it is far from quiet is when you are slithering through some brush or your inseam rubs on it self, or your arm or gear for that matter rubs against other clothes. Fleece and wool for closing the distance!

Fleece is like being in a blanket wrapped up. Dries quick too.
