Well again thanks for all of the congratulations. Still having a hard time taking this hunt all in. When it happened it was over so very fast. As ghosthunter said we are not trophy hunters. We take what is legally available to us. I went out for a walk with the idea in mind that if I saw a bear that did not have cubs with it I would take it. After all this a damage control hunt and I do not feel it would be right to pass on a shootable bear. So I took the shot on the Bear and by luck it was a good sized one. I would have been just as happy with a smaller and younger one. It was an experience I am never going to forget. The meat is in the freezer, the hide is at the taxidermist for a front quarter mount and I am going to have the skull bleached so I can use it in Hunter Education classes. I have the pictures and memories that well last me for the rest of my life. May all of you have similar hunting memories and success.
