Where to buy?
« on: March 25, 2017, 07:42:12 PM »
I was wanting to put my hands on some first lite camo before I make a decision on camo for this bext year. Does anyone know where I can look at some first lite camo on the west side? I went to sportco today and all they had was the rain gear and I just got off the phone with bass pro and they apparently don't carry any in the Tacoma store. Thanks

I had the same issue and just decided to wing it with the Kanab 2.0 and a puffy. Also the hooded midweight merino sweatshirt. All very nice really like the pants mostly

Yeah I went off their dealer locator.  Nobody actually carried it ... wasted a lot of time.  Should have just called.  You can always just order it off cabelas site and return it.

Sportco has a few pieces.
Evo Outdoors (SPONSOR!) has it and you should use them instead.
Very nice people and outstanding service.

I looked at evo outdoors as well. They don't have the guide pants in the fusion camo only in the asat camo. Unless they are just out of stock of that pattern at the moment. I've tried calling them but can't get a answer. I'll try calling again sometime this week though they might have just been out for the weekend.

Evo may not answer the call when it comes in but they've been very responsive and accommodating.
Try them again.

You will LOVE the guide pant!  Could possibly even be more comfortable than the prana zions

the guide pants would be a good all season pant wouldn't they? id mostly be using them for the early elk season, but will also be doing a few days of late season black tail

absolutely.   It's a tough pant and I use mine throughout the season.

Thing you have to remember about the wool stuff is it is not as durable as a poly/nylon material.  If you are trudging through thick nasty all day stay away from the kanabs.  Over here on the eastside and across the west where I hunt, I try and steer clear of the thick nasty.  Most of what I do is backpack hunting as well so the kanabs are a great fit because after 8 or 9 days of hard hunting they won't smell.  It's pure witch craft :chuckle:

So for long trips I wear kanabs.  Short overnight or weekend hunts I like the 2.0, and for day or overnight stuff I'm in my prana's or guides.

I too agree that you should call Evo again and talk to them.  If anything you can at least meet up and try them on and see what size fits best but most likely you will end up buying from Evo.  I do all the time.

I'm defiantly gonna try the guide pants. Heck if I like them enough I might buy a pair innsloid brown for pheasant hunting.

I am gonna try and keep getting in touch with evo. Like you said I do want to at least try everything on to get a size idea. I tried calling them a few times today but ok answer. They have most everything on want in there website but things like the guide pants and the best they only have in the asat line not the fusion camo. Maybe they can special order it for me.

I would atleast try them on to see the size and they are constantly getting new stuff in.  I found the best way to get a hold of Dave is to email him. He has another day time job so it might be hard to get ahold of him during the day.   ASAT all the way.  Hahaha.  Can't go wrong with any of their patterns.
