i live with a bunch of guys at college and this spring we killed a bull my dad sold us.  We went out and shot it in the pasture with my 270.  We also got an old sow that we butchered the same weekend.  We made most of the bull into burger and the sow into sausage.  Two days worth of work for 1400lbs of meet isnt bad especially when we did it all for around $600 not including the keg. :rockin:
Yeah but at least it will eat good...

good way to save money for beer slayock.  going to start cutting on her tonight. bought a meat bandsaw yesterday. been running a crash course on all the different cuts. I'll take some pics of the operation.  the meatsaws a dandy. it's and older "BIRD" model in great shape. the real kicker is it came with 35 new bandsaw blades. cabeles prices there new blades at $50 each on a smaller model

I would have duct taped some big sticks to her head and posed for a trophy picture. :chuckle:

I ate fresh t-bone's and rounds. ground my burger yesterday and cooked 8 patties on the grill. everything came out better then i could have hoped for. the saw is already paying for itself. i also have a goat thats about to get it. she's a bitch also. think i might be able to trade her for a wiener pig this spring.
