I bought some Coleman Water purification tablets at Wal Mart hoping to use them in the back country, but they say they do not "Deactivate Cryptosporiduim Cysts" Should I be worried about Crypto? If so is there another product I can use? I would like to stick to a tablet if possible. Thanks for any info.
I've been looking for something for trail running. I have a running belt that holds 2 8 ounce bottles but I hate having to make it last especially after starting to run longer distances. I want something near instant to purify

I tried the purification tablets a couple years ago. Thought it was a great idea to lose some weight out of my pack. I didn't like the fact that I had to wait 20-30 minutes before drinking, and the chemical taste that was left in the water. I tried the Sawyer Mini and never looked back. It's just to easy to filter and drink ice cold water on demand and keep on moving.
Ive seen those bags on the sawyer minis give out twice in the last year. Just a buyer beware. They work great until that bag gives out.
