Here is my money pit

I call her the "Beast" She's an 86 K5 Blazer, she has a tired 383. This is after I put the 3/4 ton axles in it. She normally has a cowl hood on it, but I was doing a bit of repair work to it at that time.

Ya got me beat by 16yrs, I still have my first car that i drove in high school 1968 Mustang and it has been garaged since 1987. It will be my retirement project.

  Very nice! Had a '70 square back in HS that cured me of any desire to own another vdub, but I still appreciate a clean, very rare car.

Thanks.  It was a 30 footer, to be sure, but one of the best vehicles, value-wise, I have ever owned.

Coming up on 2 years since the last post, has any one made any progress on thier projects or picked-up something new?

My 1958 Chevy project ended up leaving one day when a fellow stopped by and offered considerably more for them than I had in them, so on they went to a new home.

Lets see what is being worked or what was finished since the last post...

How about a diesel hot rod? 01 short box 4x4 automatic, Ppump swap, maxed and benched pump, big injectors, compound chargers, cam and valve train. Basically been through the whole truck fixing and replacing whatever is needed. Started on it last February. Biggest things left now, finishing dash repair and re install, install engine trans monitoring equipment. Finish building intake pipe/filter. Then break in engine. Tune chargers and pump as needed. Clean up interior, if the transmission doesn't scatter first! Don't mind the ugly rocker cover its going away before it runs.
