Awesome, I drove a fire truck red 67 in high school.  Man, do I wish I didn't have to sell it.  Same engine, I got tired of people telling me I was an idiot and it was a 351.

Those trucks sure look good in red. I'm sure a lot of us wish we could go back in time and grab our high school vehicle. For me it was a '71 FJ40. Haha. I've had to explain the 352 motor several times already.

I was recently gifted this one owner, 1967 Ford with a 352 from a very generous coworker and towed it home last night. My coworker's parents bought it brand new, and has been parked since they were no longer able to drive in 2000. Been garage kept for the past 21 years and ran when it was parked. My oldest son turns 16 next April and I'll be surprising him with it this weekend. It's going to be our winter project together and I hope to have it road worthy for him to start driving next spring. Main goal is to get it to start, stop and safely roll down the road for now before getting all fancy. I'm thinking a clear coat over the original paint would be pretty sweet though.

Very cool. Had a 67 in blue and white with a 352 and 4 speed that my former father in law gave me. He paid $2700 for it brand new!

I would love to have my High school rig back, I kick myself everytime I think of it, 48 Willys, had it for years, put in a 327 and sold it for college money. My dad brought it back from Alaska,  it was an old Army surplus rig with an arctic cab they used up there to deliver mail. He brought it down and it turned into a project, wish I still had it, sold it for a fraction of what I could of.  :bash: :bash: Showed a picture of it to someone years ago, he said I was sitting on a gold mine, I sold it along with the original motor that only had 33,009 miles on it for......Way less than I should have :chuckle:, young and dumb

Looks salvageable  :chuckle:

We did a job in north Seattle in what was a vacant lot next to an auto repair shop. Probably dug about thirty in similar shape out of the ground. They were laying all over and it'd freak me out every time, my first thought was always it had shot out of the machine.

Everything inside that block was salvageable.  Went to the salvage yard. Block is headed to the machine shop for inspection and hopefully the needed work. Number 2 hole is cracked so at a minimum it's getting a sleeve. After the machine shop I'll know more about where I am at.
Time to move this post up again. An update Is needed.
After some down time and a few conversations we (I) decided that simply scrap the block an just start over. Found an unmolested 350 4 bolt main bare block. Purchased it and sent it off to be squared and honed out 10 over. Ordered a new set of Manley pistons and h beam connecting rods. A nice new set of aluminum 202 heads that'll have Manley valves. Pretty much the ou thing from the original motor will.be the crank. Here's a pic of the block after the machine shop did their thing and balanced all the internals. Should pump out around 550-575 ponies after all.is said and done.

Looks like a little aftermarket work done to that.  Nice ride.

My 69 Camaro is coming along - getting close to being ready for paint. Was going to just make it a driver, but turned into a full frame off resto
