Back home and officially ready for paint - just waiting for my slot to open up at the paint shop

Did you have someone local do some bodywork?

I did have a bit of local work done to it , and I put all new suspension in it. Engine is on order and waiting for the paint shop to get me in

Hanging new sheet metal was probably one of the most satisfying and challenging parts of the build for me so far. It was a totally new challenge, and getting to see how everything is layered and installed was pretty cool imo. It was definitely time consuming, that ate up probably 5 or 6 weekends between cutting everything out, dry fitting, and then finally welding everything in.
I told the wife on the next one I will do all of the sheet metal work, then it’s getting passed off for finish body work as that stuff frustrates me to no end!

That was definitely the frustrating part, this was a rare occasion that I enjoyed the misery

Well, she still smokes em! Doing final cut and buff tomorrow/Friday night, then just a few minor things left for this years projects. It’s time to drive the wheels off it before the weather turns! Is anyone else here going to the rod run in longbeach? We will be there Wednesday-Monday if anyone else will be in town. I’ll post pics once she’s finished

Would you PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE hurry up and get tired of this car and then decide that it's only right to sell it to an old friend at well below market.   It should go without saying that the tallest old friend gets first crack at it.

Figured it was time for an update. Pulled the car outta the trailer to put a new vinyl top on and do some clean up work in prep for the new motor.
