MULTI-SEASON DEER
« on: April 20, 2017, 02:11:48 PM »
The good news is that I drew the multi season deer permit. Bad news, I have never hunted for deer. I have hunted archery elk out of the Nile unit for the last 4 years. This year, the plan is to archery hunt for elk but hunt for deer during modern season as well.

So... Help please! I want to get a deer, but really don't know where to go at all. I have seen deer on the east side and some down on the west side near Raymond. Where is good public land?

Appreciate the help anyone is willing to give!

Cp......whoops sorry....

Good thing with that tag is you have time. Best advice i can give is find some local public land and get out there now. Learn all you can about one area and maximize your time.

Since you archery hunt for elk in the nile, you should keep your eye out for deer as well. Archery elk and deer overlap in that unit. Keep your options open while you are in there.
