Sherman GMU no longer included in Late Rifle Season
« on: February 20, 2009, 06:10:19 PM »
Apparently all the emails made a difference on this issue.

Quote
Under Modern Firearm, Late General Season, Eastern Washington White-tailed Deer,
delete GMU 101 from the late modern season. With the change, the line should read 105-124,
any white-tailed buck. This change is in response to public input from archery hunters and
returns the late general modern firearm season in GMUs 105-124 back to status quo.

I see they also added some antlerless archery permits for Entiat and Swakane. 60 for Entiat and 75 for Swakane, Dec 1-8.

well nothing like stiffer regulations and the state making it  hard to hunt in quality areas, oh goody for us

Awesome!!!  That saved a bunch of rutting mule deer bucks from being "mistakenly" shot.

They did add a special permit hunt though.  That could be a dandy.

I like the 50 permits for Sherman that they added...also it looks like they lengthened the East Okanogan, West Okanogan and Sinlahekin  Whitetail From Nov 1-24... :)   A whole extra week into the rut...yehaw..
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

It looks like a Bait and Switch to me? I don't think they added 75 antlerless archery permits to Swakane? Last year it was 3 point minimum or antlerless? They say they will close the late archery hunt and the Archery hunters flip out so they replace the hunt with some doe hunts!!!.............................LOL
