I hunt whitetails there every year. Haven't hunted elk. Which are you after? Yes, lots of clear cuts just like home. But the clear cuts are bigger and the timber is a lot thicker.Sent from my E6782 using Tapatalk

The last two years the hunting pressure has gone up and it seems the deer are either declining or just not showing as much. I go thanksgiving week.Sent from my E6782 using Tapatalk
I've heard of rattle bags working but since you have so much time find a nice heavy set of brown sheds. Get them from a friend or buy them online. They sound way better. Though the timber can be very thick there are areas where you can see 80-100 yds. Find these areas next to the thick stuff and you'll see deer. How did the bio say the deer did? As said, it can rain a lot. But also be prepared for deep snow and frigid temps in November.
