Not that I wouldn't love to get a $600 refund but I bet we all would agree to forego the refund part of the HPA Bill if that meant it would get passed.

I'm optimistic it will pass...just not this year. I think its more likely to pass than repealing the NFA all together and getting SBR's and SBS's off the list. Silencers are not firearms, they are at best small fancy mufflers. last I checked I don't need to wait 9 months and get a $200 tax stamp to put a muffler on my truck.

I shouldn't even need to buy one like a firearm and do a background check. I should be able to buy one like any other firearms accessory. in fact ALL guns should come with one. I can pretty much guarantee I've done damage to my hearing from years of hunting with no earpro.

Agree 100% with both of these comments.

Honestly I feel like the HPA doesn't go far enough; suppressors should be de-regulated entirely and treated just like mufflers on a car or anything else.

Well I think a lot of what we WONT get the next 4 years in regards to gun rights being restored is because of the NRA.

I know I know they have done A LOT for guns and are one of the loudest voices we have. but I have started to notice the NRA compromising and I'm not pleased with that. I'm starting to think the NRA is acting like any other political group and are content letting the war on the 2nd amendment continue so they can stay employed.

and the gun community is its own worst enemy but that's another rant  :chuckle:

LET THE FLAME WAR BEGIN  :hello: :chuckle:

My chief LEO doesn't sign off on them so I would have to start a gun trust to go around him. That's where a lot of the paper work woes stem from. I figure a couple of years after out passes and prices will actually go down as the tax stamp has really made it a specialty/novelty market.

Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3
