Nevada deer

I have a cousin who just got out of the army, and bought a place near Vegas.  He is a newer hunter he is only planning on being in Nevada for a few years, but he is wanting to do some hunting while there.  I looked into it somewhat, and it looks like it is draw only for non residents, and I would be going with him with neither of us having any points.  Does anyone have any basic info they could hand out to get him going?  Please PM any answers.  Thank you.

Can residents apply with nonresidents?  Good rifle tags are hard to draw.  You might want to apply for archery or muzzy tags.  You get 5 choices when you apply and you can mix all 3 weapon choices in those 5 choices.  Look at the middle of the state for easy tags to draw.  Like the 160's, 170's, and 180's.  Good luck.

Resident is all draw too. Every unit in NV holds good bucks! There are units with research you can draw 1-3 years and have a serious shot at shooting 170" buck or bigger every year
