Fun Butchery
« on: March 19, 2017, 10:44:37 PM »
The beer is just to help the hand cramps. Did some rack of venison and some tomahawk chops with the lions. Cutting it up yourself is the most fun. That's two mule deer.

Only tools needed is some victorinox/forschner knives and a reciprocating saw. The best feeling is opening up a package of butcher paper and knowing exactly what you're getting. If you love to cook, you learn to love to butcher.

No, just lucky I guess. And do my fair share of freezing. One man only has so much energy. Do all the hunting and butchering then spend a few weeks getting creative. And I hunt with my old man so I always have access to whatever he kills to. It's a fair trade since he gets to eat what I cook a lot of the time.

Man I love me some victorinox!!!! Best butcher knives for the price point and scary sharp. I have taken apart probably 100 animals wild and domestic with mine and my fathers.
