peep sight or tubing?

I just bought my fist bow.I was wondering what you all use.peep or tubing?Pros and cons of both.I am thinking peep because it looks like i would be able to see little better.any info would be great

peep, although it can take a little more effort to get lined up.  It is worth it.  faster and less noise

Yes peep.  Tube kills string speed, and with a peep a little less more junk to be hanging in the way.

I just replaced my tube with a G5 peep, mainly for the hole diameter and speed. I gained 3fps. I've always liked the tubes though.

peep is the way to go but it has nothing to do with speed.. 3fps! that will change NOTHING.... its one less thing to go wrong out there.... that stuff cracks, comes off, and even if you have replacement with you, you might not have time to time a new one on and be ready.......

Actually, it will change it about 2 to 4 fps depending of bow and type of tubing.  Add that to other things such as string silencers and nocks and it starts to add up.

it really helps to have a top-notch string when going w/o the tubing . . . can take a little time to dial in, compared to just slapping on a tube, but it is a good application of the K.I.S.S. principle while actually out in the field, etc.

Maybe my understanding or my terminology is all messed up.  What do you mean by peep sight or tubing?  In the application of my peep sight, it uses tubing.  Is the question really peep sight w/ tubing vs. peep sight without tubing?

Use the rubber tubbing. I might get a shot at the bull that gets away from you when you draw back and you rubber is broken and you can't take the shot.

Upgrade your your string to winners choice if you go with a peep or some other custom string that won't stretch. If you don't want to upgrade your string I would go with the tubing. The strings that come with most bows from the factory suck and will eventually stretch out and you will not get good consistent peep alignment without that tubing.

Peep only. Like they said it takes the right string or its a pain. You still have to twist the string before each shot to train it to stay straight. No tubing.  Mike

With a stock string you dont need to twist it everytime, you need to put twists in the string depending on what way it is turning.... that requires a bow press.. any pro shop should be able to help you with that, and I always change out stock strings/cables for the custom ones we build.. should be done every year- 2 years
