A friends brother took a spike Elk last year with a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and a factory Hornady 143gr ELD-X. Didn't recover the bullet, it was a pass through.

At about 100 yards. Funny!! All set up for long range shots on the Colockum and he point blanks his Elk.

@biggerhammer

I used the 143 grain ELD-X to break in the barrel.  They appear to shoot very well for a factory ammo choice.  Keep in mind that these shots are with cleaning the barrell in between every shot.  The two groups with the holes touching are three shot groups after I finished the 1 shot clean cycle.

I will update with my handloads I develope them.  I currently have R17 and H4350 loaded and should make it to the range Friday.

Looks like you've got a shooter there.

Exellent results. I'm impressed with that rifles accuracy. It's great to see a factory rifle and ammo combo shoot so well. Hornady has given the 6.5 Creedmoor huge support with quality, accurate offerings.

I bought mine on impulse also; couldn't happier with it.  I was ringing the 8 in gong with my hand loads last weekend at 400 yards.  Lots of fun and easy on the shoulder.

I scrubbed the heck out of the bore, both my 6.5 & 6mm Creedmoor American Predator barrels were way dirty. I fired one and clean for five rounds. Then three and clean for five groups, then I just shot it. I used Butches Bore shine and double checked for copper with a couple patches of Whipe Out.

All in all, very impressive rifle for $369.00 bucks!!!  Nothing sexy about it, it just shoots.
MagPul also announced they are doing a stock for it. Same as the one they do for the Remington 700.

My go to load.👍

42gr of RL17 got me 103fps more speed than 42gr of H4350 with no pressure signs in my rifle.

It even slummed the plain vanilla Hornady Interlocks well.

It also shot the SST's under half MOA at 200 yards.
