Talk me out of it QUICK !!

So i went out plinking with some friends , took my spinners , clays , and all my weaponry , includeing my henrys , my handguns , and my dirty thirty a.equipped with the Leopold hubble telescope on it . Went trough 150$ worth of ammo and after playing with that dirty thirty , and finding its easier to hit things inside of 150 yards than it is to miss. , im finding myself immagining me as the turrett gunner in the treestand with it instead of my 6th season of bow in the stand , i vowed to never hunt with a missle launcher again , after almost being taken out by some unlawfull clown 6 years ago up in 365 during missle season , ive had everything imaginable happen since takeing up bow hunting except. THE SHOT , SO THERES , the new war inside my head , and i cant believe im at this point , wow , never say never i geuss , but i wont decide till that final moment at the fish n feathers revenue collection booth i geuus ?

Well if you stick to tree stand at least you are up in the air and not down in the weeds with the other missile throwers, so should be safer form the human aspect..

One question is, have you had situations in stand where you would have had a shot with a missile thrower?  Season/hunting pressure may change that being modern, but something to think about.

This is true for stick n string guys as well as smoke polers. It is a good thing more liberals don't hunt since most are idiots before they start hunting

Theres a lot of truth to the more animals thing for sure , ive seen cougar , bear bobcat deer elk moose pheasants turkeys and coyotes all sitting in a stand , nothing like it , your part of the woods and the critters dont know your there , in some cases thats a saftey factor, nothing like it.

For me its not about the kill.  I enjoy being out there and seeing nature, being part of it, thinking and experiencing everything I can while enjoying it.  That is what I call hunting.  The kill is a reward and blessing. That is the thrill I get from archery but not so much modern due to people being everywhere and animals on guard stressed.  Its about what you enjoy the most in a total experience.
