Spring bear weather
« on: May 10, 2017, 12:13:33 PM »
My wife and I have it planned to head over Saturday to Thursday for spring bear hunting. I was just taking a look at the weather and wondering if bears will be out in less than ideal weather? Any time in the woods is good time but I have never hunted spring bear. Thanks for any input

They are out and about the rain just makes it miserable for us to be out in.  The bears have been moving with this warm weather and sunshine. If you can wait for a week with nice weather I would.  What unit do you have?

I live in Colville and have a Douglas permit and have been hunting a lot for turkeys and bear this spring.  I have only seen two bear and not much sign.  They are out but it is just starting to green up at higher elevations.  If you want some advice wait a little longer and things are only going to get better.   :twocents:

I'm just south and agree that the activity is just starting to get going. A couple of weeks it'll be hot.
