I had my RIA chew up a ejector that caused some drama, my pistol didn't lock totally into battery and fired which beat the crap out of the barrel lugs and slide. I was bummed. I called and talked to them and a couple hours later I have a return authorazion #. This is last Wednesday. I sent it off FedEx 2nd day and today I picked up my gun at FedEx. The invoice is for all new upper parts, slide, springs barrel.....etc. the whole show.
Initially I'm skeptical. The fit on my pistol was a 7/10 if my colt was a 10/10. Seeing all new parts I'm thinking yup, they plopped the pin and jammed a new kit on top and spanked it onto a truck. Now I'm driving in a rain storm the 30 miles back to my house since I missed the truck at my place.....and trying to multitask is not going well.
I get home and tear into this thing. They have done some nice work. I build a lot of guns and expected to throw the barrel away and fit a kart, but they actually have very nice parts abd they fito it up very well. The ramp is polished up, loaded it with wolf springs and sent me a test group @ 7yds that will go about 5/8" OUTSIDE TO OUTSIDE. This has the makings of a great pistol when I had a very good pistol.
So I had it out of my possession for a total of 10 days including shipping and they returned it with good parts and did good work to boot.
Yay.
