Anybody else go out. My brother and I got to the launch at 0630, and surprisingly it wasn't really busy. We launched at Potlatch State Park, and the way the park rangers handled the traffic has restored some of my faith in our state park system.

I'm pretty sure there were some volunteers as well. The rangers keep the traffic moving, and the volunteers helped with parking. Spoiled the funnies at the ramp, but I've seen enough of those to last a lifetime.

We were expecting a much larger crowd, so we started early, and got to the shrimping area with a couple of hours to spare. We spent the extra time getting organized, and watching the flotilla arrive. After all the boats got done running the water flattened out, and it got pretty nice. We dropped the first pot right at 0900 slick as a whistle, and then things went a little south on us.

Over the next several hours we managed to tangle a couple of the pots...three times

and wrap a line around the prop once.

Fortunately it wasn't crowded so we didn't bother anybody else.

All in all it was a good trip. The water was pretty flat, there was only a light breeze, and it wasn't too cold. Most importantly we got our two limits by 1130.
