2017 spring bear
« on: May 14, 2017, 05:12:26 PM »
Well here he is, my 2017 Washington spring bear! My first color phase bear at that! I know my grandfather is smiling down on me right now, and I couldn't be more proud to take this bear with his winchester 30-30 I got when he passd away 10 years ago! Shot him at last light and took a couple crappy pics before we quartered and skinned him, then got one of him in daylight skinned.

Getting out hunting - good.
Getting first color phase bear or any bear - better.
Getting it done with Grandpa's 30/30 - best.
Congratulations!

My step son received a 30-30 just before his Grandpa died years ago, like you. I can only imagine his joy when he gets success with it. Congrats on the bear! Good work!

Well he ran across the road into the brush. I went in after him, walking up the hill, was really thick. I was thinking no way I'm gonna find him again then looked up as I about ran him over. He was just as sulrised to see me as I was him 😂
