Bow hunting deer with someone else
« on: May 26, 2017, 04:43:09 AM »
I've never bow hunted with another person before. This year I may have someone with me during early archery for deer. We will be in somewhat open country. I thought maybe someone who has done this could give me some strategy advice. Do you go your own separate way each day or can you effectively hunt deer as a team? He is pretty new to hunting so I wanted to help him get an opportunity. Was also thinking antlerless for more opportunities. Thanks

When I do hunt open area I like to stick together tell we start in on a deer. Sometimes it's nice to have a someone watching for you as you seek in. They can see deer you can't and if they are far enough away give be hand signals to warn you. My wife was new last year and got multiple shoot opportunity but was unsure so she passed like I taught her. It's nice to have extra eyes in open sage.
