I'm thinking that's an old bow.

I would let a shop look at it first before you hand over any cash. Also make sure the draw length IS correct. If not  you wont shoot it well.

This could be a Q2XL which is at least 13 years old or maybe an LX which is 9-10 years old. Like already said make sure the draw length is correct for you or you may have to find a new cam. If its a Q2XL there were 2 models, one was up to a 30" draw ( I think ) and the other 30.5 - 31.5. If its the latter a new cam, string and cable could be required to change draw lengths. May be better off finding a newer bow  :twocents:

Draw length is set up at 28" . He said it can be set to 28.5" guess I should ask how old it is

Fit is more important than age, only problem with age is finding the parts to make it fit. Either one of those bows for the right price will be fine.

Think you could find a newer bow to start with. Find someone to help you that knows archery, I'd offer but think I'm to far away. Go to a shop and find out what your draw length is. Shoot some bows and see what draw weight is comfortable :twocents:

That is what I am going to do . I told the gentleman I would pass for now until I know what I want. Something newer sound good. I am going to get in touch with a local shop and go from there. I need to get moving though. Hunting season will be here before you know it.
