All Phelps Calls now at Bob's
« on: May 19, 2017, 04:50:17 PM »
Just saw Phelps entire line now available at Bob's in Longview.  That's cool.

I picked up a couple of the new amp reeds to try.  Looks like Bob's is expanding in archery, fishing, game calls, and canning/smokers to keep up with the box stores / online.

I liked the amp reeds - initial thought is more consistent start and easy to blow. Maybe a lil raspier which may be getn used to it but may add realism.

I must admit, I've come to love the grey Amp frame and I think it is the most versatile diaphragm I've used. When we did the calling contest on here a few weeks back, I wanted to try one frame all the way through and that's what I used. You can pretty much do everything with it.

You sounded very good. It's cool to hear you used the grey amp. That is also my go to call
