The Oregon issue was with the insiders getting the information of a hunt being cancelled and If people put in for that hunt as their first choice and put in for what they really wanted as their second choice they were able to draw what basically amounted to their first choice and still be able to keep their points and gain another. The other issue in Oregon that went on for years was the percentage of sheep tags given to non-residents. For years it was less than the percentage outlined in their administrative codes. I called multiple times every year and rarely got the same answer twice. Once they told me that the raffle tags counted as non-resident. I replied that that was awesome knowing my odds of a raffle tag was so much better being residents were ineligible, it was completely silent on the other end of the phone then. I think they got tired of the calls because last I checked they were at least hitting the minimum on the non-resident quota.

Active license tab was always up, I think. The one that's missing is the special hunts tab.

why don't they start the whole process 2-3 months earlier like other states.  that way vacations and time off can be planned.   if it cant be done hire people who can.  to my knowledge Washington is the latest state to draw.  some states start in jan or feb.  mike w

Vermont moose has WA beat...Their deadline to apply is July 3rd.   Try planning time off for that one. :o
You mean I still have time?  :o  Hope the loser lounge doesn't flood their system. :chuckle:

I like the way Maine does their Moose drawing.  A specific date is made and they have all kinds of activities going on and it's in a different town every year from what I read online.  When they do the draw they actually call out the names.  Makes it more exciting in my opinion.

Doing it that way for all WA permits would take days but it's a cool tradition they have going.
"I love my country, I love my guns, I love my family,
I love the way it is now and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.
That should be all of our attitudes.
Cause this is America and a country boy is good enough for me son..."

You can no longer look at your amount of points as it has been disabled here within last few minutes...

I thought that happened when they removed the special permits link?

Negative. I could still view my points after the special permits link was disabled. My points link just disappeared when I checked it about a half hour ago. I viewed my points as recently as this morning.

I get a kick out of this every year, if you think about it, about 95% of us get over the moon impatient/excited just to see NOT SELECTED lol Theres always next year and a long slow 12 months ticks by again  :chuckle: hope not!!

I wonder if they've been getting calls, asking when the draw is? ;)
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
