Chest Holster Review
« on: June 13, 2017, 04:16:07 PM »
I recently bought a chest holster from Paradise Valley Leather in Livingston, Montana.
I am very happy overall. Excellent quality, stays put and doesn't bounce around as described on their website. Nice thumb break. I really like the nylon straps as opposed to the leather straps on a lot of other chest holsters.

Definitely a nice product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a chest holster. I was tired of wearing a hip holster while hiking/sitting glassing and did quite a bit of research online before buying this one. Also nice to have something close on the chest when calling!

Here's their website in case anyone is interested.

It's a one man operation there. He makes all the stuff himself and is not limited to just chest holsters. Takes about 2-3 weeks to get one made but definitely worth it.

Would love to see pics of the wear mentioned.  I love my 1st generation Kenai, but my pistol is also stainless.

How comfortable are the smaller straps on the leather holster Carson?

jrebel,

It is very comfortable. I've used it for about a month now. Hiking 3-4 days a week. I usually wear the holster for at least a few miles and haven't had any issues with discomfort so far. Also, it can be adjusted pretty much anywhere you want. I've had it dead center in my upper chest area, as well as way down towards my side (when wearing a bino harness).

Tried taking you a pic, but with the light it doesn't really show the wear in the pic. Loved the way it carried all day, just irritated when I got home to see the rub marks at the front of the cylinder. Seems stainless is the way to go with these. My email to them was for suggestions on how to cut down on this or if they had any suggestions. No response yet
