Bumping River Goat
« on: June 15, 2017, 11:29:54 AM »
My brother drew the Bumping River Goat tag this year. So if anyone has any insight of what we can expect it would be nice to get some tips and pointers.

Heard there was a monster Billy taken out of there last year but didn't see any pics. Rumor said he was pushing 10 inches.

Its not hard to get a Goat, but it is quit a bit harder to get that BC Billy in wa st. If you want to get the most out of your once in a lifetime tag look us up. We do know where the Bigger Billys hang out. Our goat hunters will get pictures of different Billys during the summer so you can pick out the one you want.
Let us give you a hunt of a lifetime !!!

The biggest goat I have ever seen was at Richmond Mine Lake. If I had that tag I would be hunting that basin and the Thunder Creek basin.

My brother is not on the site, so I have asked Karl to tell the hunt story for him. He did the tag justice too, plenty of scouting trips and hours of looking. After 17 years of putting in, the reward was worth it

Congrats on what appears to be a nice billy!

Karl Blanchard was on the hunt with my brother, he will tell the story since my brother is not a member. I opted to not go on the hunt last weekend. With me having had 4 heart attacks, I didn't want to slow them down if they needed to get across to some goats in a hurry. I was going to hunt with him this weekend if needed,  might have taken an extra day to get a critter out is all.  :chuckle:

Oh man, this sounds like an epic story! Can't wait to read it, especially with Karl telling it. Sounds like miles were hiked, sheer faces traversed, blood, sweat and tears for sure.

Knowing Karl it was probably a grueling back breaking pack out to.
