Quality Buck blues Muley and now goat???? Can you please PM who you are paying and how much it's going to cost me?
I've been blessed with good luck in the draws. Drew my quality buck permit in the Blues with 4 points in 2010 and killed a nice buck. Got a foothills west whitetail permit in 2013 with 7 points I think and blew it on a nice buck. Now I got this with 9 points.

Don't ever apologize for playing the game and winning josh. This is great news. Gives us a chance to live an experience that we might not ever get to personally have. This is just great any way we all look at it. Glad it happened to you. I know you will be kind enough to drag us through this whole experience with you. Best of luck to you. -Jed

Great response, and I agree. Josh deserves this tag because he's done as much and more in this state for conservation than most of us have. His hunting ethics will shine throughout this hunt. He'll scout, he'll ask, and he'll beg info.

In the end we'll have a great hunt to relive through his posts. That's all we can ask of a man.

Alright, I already said congratulations, but I have to say, the title of this thread is wrong- nobody is ever "due" to draw a mountain goat hunt. Doesn't matter if you've been applying for 50 years. That person is no more deserving of a tag than a person applying for the first time. So enjoy your hunt and don't ever feel that someone else was more entitled to the tag than you were.

Congrats a goat tag is a great hunt!!!.Took a really nice billy out of smith creek unit in 97. My advise is to hunt as much as you can early in your season when there are blue sky days since scoping is a big part of the equation hunting goats. Once the weather changes and socks in, your ability to spot and stalk is drastically reduced.  The older the billy the more yellow tinged they will be, that's what your looking. Good luck on your hunt!
