Looking at that last picture, you guys are certifiably NUTS  :yike:

Rainer10's last pic I meant

Oh yah. I’m a super brave dude and never gave it a second thought. Child’s play really. Rainier10 on the other hand...pretty sure he tinkled a little bit on the way.  I wasn't going to say anything.
 :sry:
Really? It’s your thread so whatever you say. :chuckle: I am impressed that we did it and didn’t die.

very impressed guys.  You played through the mental game and didn't give up.  True hunters.

One other note from the hunt, I had to wear sunscreen and had way to many clothes. I swear it was 65 degrees the day he shot the goat.  I think we were at 6,000 feet or something like that.  Not the weather I was expecting for October 28th.  Not complaining just sayin'.

Here’s my billy at 17 yards when Rick thought he might become a news story.

Congrats Josh and everyone who got to participate.  A mountain goat permit will put most hunters into terrain they would never set foot on under any other circumstances, still my most vivid memories from my 2000 Wyoming goat hunt.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Nicely done, congrats! Looks like a ton of effort went in and it's even cooler that you had a plan and it worked!

From the pictures, I'm guessing you might have stayed in one of the coolest backcountry campsites ever.

Sorry about the shaky video, like I told Josh I am actually made to be in front of the camera not behind it.  8) :chuckle:

That goat was there for quite awhile before I thought about getting some video.    When he bowed his head to show me his horns I got a little nervous and did think I might end up being a news story on King 5.  Lucky for me he decided to just move on.  After Josh put the hammer to him we found out just how sharp those pointed horns are.  It is amazing how pointed they are.

Apparently I was taking so long trying to push the goat to Josh that he had turned around and was looking elsewhere for goats when this guy did walk away from me and out to where Josh should have been watching for him.  I think we both might have the attention span of a goldfish.  :chuckle:

Awesome footage.

Did you see him roll his head over at Rick? "Hey bro, did you see how sharp these horns are?"

p.s. they're really sharp.
